1.the person who is responsible for managing an organization:
a bank manager
a station manager
the production manager
I wish to speak to the manager.
2. the person whose job is to organize and sometimes train a sports team:
a football manager
3 .The manager of a singer, actor or other entertainer is a person whose job is to arrange the business part of their work.
director
1. a manager of an organization, company, college, etc:
the board of directors
She has become the director of the new information centre.

the person who is in charge of a big organization
Director of Public Prosecutions noun [S] UK
the official title of the lawyer who works for the government and who decides whether someone formally accused of committing a crime should be made to appear in a court of law

a person whose job it is to arrange for the bodies of dead people to be buried or burned
