What is the meaning of this sentense...

Post by nuni »

Dear Friends,

I have a difficulty in understanding this sentence: “The heart is oppressed by any wisdom save that which sounds the death of all wisdom.” (taken from 'Adrift on the Nile' by Naguib Mahfouz).

Can anyone help me to explain the meaning of it or to make it simpler so I can understand it better?

Thank you very much.

It's mean: If someone have wisdom but don't use it for the right, they heart will be oppressed....
