Ohad is correct with his definitions. However, when and whether to use end or finish is often purely a matter of common usage. For example, we say "You'll find the store at the end of the street", never "at the finish of the street". Your meaning will be perfectly understood if you use the former but you will simply have to memorize the latter to get it right. Sometimes they are interchangeable, sometimes not.
