are the articles correct?..please, help!

The last chapters of the book are really well-done: you will find there some good advice for dealing with Generation Y in real life and some interesting info about evolution of the soft skills necessary for management nowadays.

Wouldn't it have been said 'You've made my day!',instead of 'You made my day', would it?

Both are possible. BrE tends to use the present perfect (You've made my day).
