My opinion is that in order to complete the knowledge about the setnence construction we should first learn some of the words, then the English grammar, then syntax afterwhat we are ready to try to read some simple sentences then speak.
How much time do these steps take depends on many things.
One of them is what level that you've got are you satiefied with?
