I've seen this on YouTube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j7pQ1sk ... er&list=UL
There I came across this sentence
Mama bought me an old airplane magazine. It's older than her.
I wonder if it should have been written this way below
Mama bought me an old airplane magazine. It's older them she.
Thanks

You’re right. I’ve an old rule that says the case of a pronoun following the word “than” is determined by mentally supplying the verb after it. Therefore, “... It's older than she [not "her"] (is).” is correct.

Mama bought me an old airplane magazine. It's older than she.
The correct answer is she.
Explanation:
If we mentally complete the sentence, we would say, "It's older than she is." Therefore, she is the correct answer.
Wish I gave you a good helpful answer

Mama bought me an old airplane magazine. It's older than
her.
You can't say "It's older than she" because the sentence can't be understandable!!!

You are older than me. OR You are older than I am.
It is older than her. OR It is older than she is.
