The question is if it is possible to say such a word expression as "sophisticated food"? If yes, what does it mean?
And when we say "rich food", does it mean "a great variety of dishes, cooked in a complicated way"?

Rich food is rich in terms of it's ingredients, high calorie things like butter, cream, oils etc.
