Post by mksarma »

I am writing a story that goes in a school. Does the capitalization required for 's' in "the School" where ever used?

Yes, like others have said, "the school" is not capitalized (e.g. You can take evening yoga classes at the school on Main Street.").

But if "school" is a part of a name, remember to capitalize it (e.g. You can take evening yoga classes at Washington High School on Main Street.)
