I'm reading a book and there's one sentence I don't understand.
can anyone help me to explain the sentence? thanks a lot.

the sentence is:
" reeling from one of the sharpest minds I have ever encountered in any field of human endeavour"

it's from the paragraph below:

"Even before I met her, I knew Dolly Parton would completely confound the stereotype of the dumb blonde, and it is true to say that anyone suffering from that pre-story delusion would soon be reeling from one of the sharpest minds I have ever encountered in any field of human endeavour. However, of all those who changed their pre-story, one woman in particular stands out."

It means that anyone who thinks that Dolly Parton is dumb would be quite shocked or surprised by how smart she actually is. Of all the people the narrator has met through various endeavors/experiences, Dolly Parton is one of the smartest.
