Re: Introverted children or introvert children?
introvert is a noun: this child is an introvert
What you need is an adjective qualifying children.
The normal adjective is "introverted": introverted children
But "introvert" can also be used as an adjective: introvert children
Long story short, both are possible.
Same applies to extroverted, extrovert
