What does "burning goat " mean in this sentence?

Post by vicisme »

Recently I read an article in cracked.com about gestures.
There was one sentence "Unless you learn the ways of the place you're visiting, even the most well-meaning tourist can regularly find his oesophagus stuffed with burning goat."
What's the meaning of burning goat here? And the meaning of this whole sentence?

Cracked.com is famous for using crazy jokes, haha. This doesn't make sense to me either, and I'm a native American English speaker.

My guess? It's talking about how:
A) Cultures are very different. You should learn about them before you visit them.
B) foods are very spicy in some cultures
C) if you are not careful, you may accidentally eat something you didn't want to eat!
