Is this right

Post by Lenniebugs »

Is it correct to say "I hope you can sleep from anticipation".

I'm trying to say that I hope you can sleep because of anticipating something that's going to happen tomorrow.

Suggestions:
"I hope the anticipation won't keep you awake."
"I hope you will be able to sleep despite the anticipation."

Explanation:
"I hope you can sleep from anticipation" literally says that the anticipation will force you to sleep. Here's an example like it:
"I hope you can sleep from the sleeping pills"
