Ostensibly

Post by JakeDde »

Hello
I'm a Little bit unsure where to put the word "ostensibly" in the following sentences:
1 Ostensibly about rain, the race couldn't have been started.
2 Ostensibly he had been at home, but he wasn't.
3 The prize has ostensibly be won by manipulations,
4 They left ostensibly before the Trouble was over.

It would be glad if anybody could give me a hand to improve my skills.
Thanks a lot
