First, I'm from Denmark, so I'm not as tough as you guys
I have a question about a sentence which I'm not sure about.
"When the game is over, the king and the pawn go in the same box, but all of us would prefer to have another day in the sun, relive it all and be second to none."
The sentence should be grammatical correct, but i have som few questions.
What is the exact difference of:
"to be second to none"
and
"not stand back for any?"
"When the game is over, the king and the pawn go in the same box"
This sentence is a refference to the fact that all is even and God will judge us from an objective perspective, does that make sense?
