Despite and inspite

Please correct me whether my following sentences are correct or not.

Despite sickness, he attended his duty.

Inspite of entering from entrance A, he entered from B

Despite sickness, he attended to his duty. <-- correct :ok:

In spite of entering from entrance A, he entered from B. <-- makes no sense :nok:

You probably mean

Instead of entering from entrance A, he entered from B. :ok:
