Hi, I need to substitute the expression "indicated" by similar expression from this context: " The above-named has indicated that you would be willing to provide a reference."
I´ve crossed my mind only: The above-named has implied (or signified) that you would be willing to provide a reference.
But I´m not sure if that´s correct.
Can somebody help me?

You could also say: "The above named has told me that you would be willing ...."
It really depends on what actually happened. If you say "The above named implied that ..." then you are saying that the person did not tell you this directly.
