Run out of lunch or Skip lunch?

Please, I need to know the correct form <skip lunch, run out of lunch> that I may use in this case.

skip lunch means you don't eat lunch. You have breakfast, no lunch, and then dinner (for example)

run out of something means you exhaust your supplies. E.g., you run out of eggs and need to buy some more. You run out of petrol/gas in your car
