So...that vs such...that

Post by yoones »

Hi teachers. I've got a question. Which of the following sentences are correct or more natural?

1. I have so many friends abroad that I cannot write to all of them.

2. I have such many friends abroad that I cannot write to all of them.

I guess the second one is correct because it emphasizes the number of the writer's friends. To use so...that we have to change the sentence like this: The number of my friends is so much that I cannot write to all of them.

Is it true?

1 is correct and natural.
2 is not English.
