Need help with a saying/quote

Post by pascalsz »

Hello dear forum member

My name is Pascal and I am polish living in Germany.
I really never used anything like this forum and I hope I get some help here. If my English isn’t perfect I’m sorry, I am not a native speaker and just learnt the language in school and my freetime.

Nothing wild I’m asking for.
I wanted help with a quote I have in mind and I don’t know if it’s correct the way I wanted to post it.

“Even if no one is watching,
future you still does.”

Is this grammatically correct? I don’t want to repeat ‘watching’ in the second part so I tried by using ‘does’ but I really don’t know if this is correct because I just don’t have the everyday practice.

Please feel free to help.

Greeting from Germany

“Even if no one is watching,

Yes, it's not grammatical. In fact it has no meaning, to the extent that I don't know what you are trying to say.

Are you perhaps trying to say:

“Even if no one is watching,
your future is watching you.”

OR

“Even if no one is watching,
your future will be watching you.”

Please explain...

I have to agree with @Joe. I like the first iteration: "Even if no one is watching, your future is watching you." It sounds more poetic and gets your point across more succinctly. And your English is pretty good, @Pascalsz!
