Definition of "Doo"

Post by vasilis »

Greetings to you all

My native language is greek and I want to use the word "Doo" in a project I'm on right now.

From google searching the info i'm getting so far is that doo-doo means faeces and doo on it's own is mostly a rhyming word (cock-a-doodle-doo, singing and stuff).

I would like to ask any native english speaker if hearing just the word "doo" makes them think of bowel-like stuff.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Cheers
Vasilis.

When I see "doo" I don't think of anything because it's not a word, though I might wonder if it's a mistake for "do". Doo-doo is an actual word and cock-a-doodle-doo is an expression to represent the sound of a cock crowing. Hope that answers your question, though it's just my opinion. Other people might think differently if they come across "doo". Some people are so anally obsessed these days, who knows?
