Hi, I would choose made. is this correct?

1)I made (or let?)? a couple of friends to help me to get the couche upstairs.

The grammatical options are:

a) I made a couple of friends help me get the couch upstairs. <-- you FORCED them to help you (I don't think so)

b) I let a couple of friends help me get the couch upstairs. <-- you permitted them to help you - how KIND you are!

More likely you want to say:

c) I asked a couple of friends to help me get the couch upstairs.

OR EVEN

d) A couple of friends helped me get the couch upstairs.

Notice the minor corrections in each sentence.

If this isn't what you're trying to say, feel free to ask again (in this topic!).
