Is it correct to answer this question like this:
" Your phones was busy all day yesterday. Was there something wrong with is?
"Yes, a telecom engineer has been repairing it"
or should the answer be like that: Yes, a telcom engineer was repairing it.
thank you in advance

But there is a problem with your questionner:
"Your phones was busy all day yesterday. Was there something wrong with is?
"Your PHONE was busy all day yesterday. Was there something wrong with IT?"
