I'm struggling with the following sentences, can anyone tell me which one is correct? I would say the first one, as location (outside) should be at the end of the sentence. But still, the other sentence sounds good to me as well...

He is playing football with his friends outside.
He is outside playing football with his friends.

Both are possible and correct. Also possible is:

He is playing football outside with his friends.

You can say the more important things first in a sentence, like when someone asks "What is he doing?" you can answer with the first sentence and when asks "Where is he?" you can answer with the second sentence.
But both ways it's correct to use either one of the sentences.
