Good day, can someone PLEASE help me with the correct form structure of the second conditional? I need these sentences:
In positive sentences use:
IF + SUB + PAST SIMPLE + ......................................, SUB + WOULD + INFINITIVE.
If I got stranded on a desert island, I would be terrified.
Or
SUB + WOULD + INFINITIVE + IF + SUB + PAST SIMPLE …………………………………………...
I would be terrified if I got stranded on a desert island.
to be adapted to a NEGATIVE sentences. I have tried this:
In negative sentences use:
IF + SUB + NOT + PAST SIMPLE + ....................., SUB + WOULD + NOT + INFINITIVE.
If I didn't get stranded on a desert island, I wouldn’t be terrified.
Or
SUB + WOULD + NOT + INFINITIVE, IF + SUB + NOT + PAST SIMPLE + .....................
I wouldn’t be terrified, if I didn’t get stranded on a desert island.
....but by now I am totally confused and somehow it just doesn't look right?

Re: Second Conditional Structure in negative sentence
Apparently you need to change the sentences to negative. So why are you trying to make both clauses negative? Just the main clause needs to be negative:
If I got stranded on a desert island, I wouldn’t be terrified.
I wouldn't be terrified, if I got stranded on a desert island.
If I got stranded on a desert island, I wouldn’t be terrified.
I wouldn't be terrified, if I got stranded on a desert island.
