passive infinitive & perfect gerund

Post by hoseyn » Sat May 25, 2019 11:10 am

I have five questions:

1 - Mary resented not having been sent/being sent an invitation for the wedding ceremony. why is having been sent not accurate?

2 - The referee didn’t tolerate having been shouted/being shouted at by the footballer and sent him off.why is having been shouted not accurate?

3 - The last player to be sent off/having been sent off in the final match of the 2006 world cup was Zinedine Zidane. why is having been sent off not accurate?

4 - What differences are between having been and being?

5 - What usage does passive infinitive like "to be sent off" have?
