Hi,
I need to clarify something. I'm writing a manual document that uses a lot of acronyms that are essentially proper nouns for things made by a company XYZ. For example:
AAA - is a type of a bracket
BBB - is a type of a mounting kit
Fix the AAA bracket with the BBB mounting kit.
In this case I use article "the" because AAA/BBB is used as an adjective for the bracket/mounting kit.
Fix AAA with BBB.
In this case there should be no article?
the/a/no article with a proper noun

Re: the/a/no article with a proper noun
Your logic seems to be impeccable
Fix the AAA bracket with the BBB mounting kit.
Fix AAA with BBB.

Fix AAA with BBB.

Re: the/a/no article with a proper noun
I've got one more question. XYZ is a type of a gps module (a proper noun).
XYZ needs to be installed when Global Navigation Satellite System signal from an external RF GNSS antenna is required.
In this case it's obvious not to use any article.
XYZ GPS module needs to be installed when Global Navigation Satellite System signal from an external RF GNSS antenna is required.
This, however, makes ma a bit confused. Let's say I don't mean any module in particular. Should I write "A XYZ GPS module...." ? It just seems a bit odd at the beginning of a sentence.

I actually have one more question.
"Attach the XYZ to the mounting bracket using four M5 screws."
The M5 screws come with the installation kit, that is described earlier. Should I write "... using the four M5 screws" or the above is correct as well? I mean, it is pretty obvious that the user should use the screws from the assembly kit not some other M5 screws, so is "the" necessary?

If you are short of space, then without "the" sounds ok. But if you have space, why not use "the"? It would be crystal clear.

I was afraid not to overuse articles, but if it looks ok then "the" it is :)

Sounds about right
Without seeing the entire text, might be hard to say definitively, but in general there should be no problem "overusing" the definitive article. Otherwise it starts to sound like a Russian translation
