Please show me is the following sentence grammatically and spelling correct or not ?:
"The lack of time, infrastructure, and adequate equipment by the surgeons are important difficulties that must be addressed".
I'm wondering about the preposition "by" and the plural of the verb "be" (are).

You don't need to repeat "the lack of". I just show it to indicate the underlying meaning/structure.
