It does sound like "fluffy". Not sure what he means by that. It might mean "not very precise" or "cushy, rather easy". Without more context, hard to say.

Yes, it is. the part of that course is indeed a introductory to help students get some intuition rather than a very precise definition or procedure. Your answer is so helpful! Thanks a lot!
