“May” has a permissive quality in most cases. (Gives permission or more likely to do something)

“Might” leaves room for interpretation, it’s a suggestion or discretionary.

You MAY use the bathroom.
You MAY have the rest of my sandwich.

You MIGHT not want to do that.

If you say: “You MIGHT be able to have the rest of my sandwich” You are suggesting there might be something someone has to do to receive your sandwich or you need more information to make a decision.
