Hello, friends! Could you tell me if it’s okay to use ‘over’ instead of ‘to’ in this sentence (I heard such a phrase on TV):
I prefer tennis to football (it’s grammatically correct as far as I know)
I prefer tennis over football (this one I heard on TV)

"to" would be correct/normal and "over" sounds colloquial, not strictly correct but possible (IMHO)
