diligently plan something

In the sentence 'we diligently plan our activities', can 'meticulously' and 'eagerly' equally replace 'diligently'?

Approximate meanings. 1 and 2 are nearly the same. 3 is very different.

1. we diligently plan our activities - with great care

2. we meticulously plan our activities - in great detail

3. we eagerly plan our activities - with great interest

Thank you, Joe.
So 'carefully' would better work as a synonym for 'diligently' than 'meticulously', wouldn't it?
i.e. we carefully plan our activities=we diligently plan our activities
