Trouble in Understanding One Sentence

Hi everyone, I encounter one sentence in my reading which says "neither the enjoyment nor the capacity of producing musical notes are faculties of the least use to man...they must be ranked amongst the most mysterious with which he is endowed".
Does this sentence actually mean that both the enjoyment and the capacity of producing musical notes are among the most useless faculties to humans? If so, would it be correct to rephrase the sentence as "both the enjoyment and the capacity of producing musical notes are faculties of the least use to man"?
Thank you for your explanation!
