Post by dwnia »

Hello ! I want to ask whether I can use all the tanses after wh words
I do not know who has made some coffee for me .
I do not know which team won the world cup last year.
I do not know who will win the world cup next year.
I do not know who is going to make some coffee for me.
I do not know who will have done his homework by this time tomorrow.
Are they all correct ?
And what about past simple tense ?
I did not know when/who
What tenses can I use after wh words when I use past simple tense ?

The other my question is whether I can use all the tenses after
That is why
That is why I make some coffee for you every week .
That is why I have made some coffee for you .
That is why I will make coffee for you tomorrow.
That is why I made some coffee for you yesterday.
That is why I will have done my homework by this time tomorrow.
That is why I am going to make some coffee for you .
Are they all correct ?

Are they all correct ? Yes :ok:

I did not know when/who
What tenses can I use after wh words when I use past simple tense ?
 After past simple "I didn't know + wh ...", past tenses and past perfect tenses are common, and 'would' instead of 'will'. It's sometimes possible to use a present tense, but you wouldn't normally use a present perfect tense.

Thank you very much ! Do the same rules for present and past apply to verbs followed by that clause or whether/if?
