Listing consecutive actions by different sentences

Post by Kirilles »

So, is it possible and correct? I'm not a native English speaker and I'm not sure about that.
For example: "She closed her eyes once again. Pressed on her inner lever activating her magic potential to its fullest. Concentrated all her mana on the tip of her index finger. Aimed more accurately. And unleashed all accumulated energy in a form of thin purple ray."
My reason to write it like that is simple - it shows methodicalness of actions, but the last action is sharp and abrupt like a shot, and it seems as a nice way to highlight the meaning of the part. Thank you!

Technically ungrammatical as there is no subject in each sentence. But you are the writer and writers often break the rules for dramatic effect. In any case the subject is understood. So I'd say it may not be "correct" but it's certainly possible.
