selfish (adjective): having no consideration for other people; egotistical
self-respect (noun): pride and confidence in oneself; a feeling of behaving honourably, with dignity

For me, "Taking care of number one is not selfish" Yes, that's right when everyone has thought of it as the first priority. It isn't wrong in every way.
