«If I could do anything, I would»
«If there was anything I could do, I would»
I’m Norwegian, and I’m wondering if the first sentence could be interpreted as the last one?
I want to use the first sentence for a song I’m writing, but what I mean to say with it is what the second sentence says, not «if i could literally do anything (like fly), then I would»
If I could do anything

Re: If I could do anything
Not a grammar issue, but...yes, essentially the two mean exactly the same.
