I might/could say one of these sentences

Post by Newton » Fri Sep 11, 2020 7:37 am

While commenting on a few sentences, someone says:

1) I might say one of these sentences, depending on the context.

2) I could say one of these sentences, depending on the context.

What is the difference between 1) and 2)? Are they both indirect suggestions?

'Could' here would be understood as denoting a potential ability, as opposed to the simply possibility denoted by 'might'.
