Ving / to V

Post by Stephen » Tue Oct 19, 2004 6:23 am

Is there any difference in meaning or style between the following sentences?
1. Watching TV is fun.
2. To watch TV is fun.
3. It is fun watching TV.
4. It is fun to watch TV.
Thank you very much for your reply.

All are grammatically sound, but #2 is unidiomatic.
#4 is probably the most natural.
