Dear teacher,

Possibly the Rubin Museum will expand its scope through the traveling shows it brings to town; several are scheduled, as is an ambitious series of concerts and lectures for the new theater.

Q : "as" functions as a relative noun haveing an antecedent "several". What do you think?

It functions as a relative PROnoun, yes. (There is no such thing as a relative noun!) Its antecedent here is 'scheduled'.
