infinitve/gerund

Sir,

1.I like to play hockey.

2. I like playing hockey.


In 1) to play is object
2) playing is object

is there any difference in meaning.

Please help me.

Here in 1) infinitive as object.
2) gerund as object.



There is any difference in meaning so far.

They differ only in structure.
There is no difference in meaning!
