Dear teacher,

Would you please tell me if my answers are correct?

List 5:

(what's the meaning of the sentence?)

22a. 'Stretch of' - not X.

23. Yes, 'deal of'. It means that machines save us from a lot of arduous labour. ('Do away with' means 'get rid of/abolish'.)

24. Nothing needed.

26. Would suggest 'amount of'.
