object

Post by hanuman_2000 »

Sir,

Some verbs take a "To-Infinitive" as object and others take "gerund".

Is there any clear rule for this? Which verb will take infinitive and which will take gerund as an object.

Thanks.

No rule - you need to learn them case by case. (Be warned, some take both, either with or without a change of meaning!)
