Sir,

1.Every soldier and sailor was in his place.


2. Every soldier and every sailor was in his place.


Here in (1) every is used before "soldier".

While in (2) every is befire both the noun.

Is there any difference in both the sentences.

Please explain it.

No difference at all. 'Every' is implicit before both nouns in #1.
