verb structures

Post by Joon »

I believe there was a song titled, "Alice-Blue Gown."

I - subject of the sentence

believe - transitive verb

there was a song titled, "Alice-Blue Gown." - object

a song - subject of the subordinate clause.

was - linking verb

there - adverbial complement

a song - subject of the subordinate clause

titled - linking verb

"Alice-Blue Gown." - nominal complement

What do you think of my parsing?

Something wrong?

Or do you have other way of parsing for the example sentence?
