cheer

Post by hanuman_2000 »

Sir,

They(Dogs) cheer up people when they are frowning
and rescue people when they are drowning.

What is meaning of "cheer up" here .

The bold letter "they" is for "dogs" or for "people" in both the lines.

Thanks.

Cheer up = make happy/restore to good spirits.

They means 'people'. (Drowning dogs would hardly be in a position to rescue anybody!!)
