Hello :)
I'd like to know how to use "little" and " small" for a child.
#1 Five little children danced very well on the stage.
#2 Five small children danced very well onthe stage.
Can I use both "little" and " small " for the meaning of very young?
Or is "small" used for the size?
Thank you.

Both words refer literally to size, but are naturally both understood to indicate a young age as well.
'Little' is more informal than 'small'.
