than or then?

Post by Blanket »

I chat in the net quite often and I noticed one thing. Many people say "rather then", "bigger then". It should be "than" right? I have no idea these people are native or not but I found quite many of them use "then" instead of "than". Correct one is "than", am I right?

bigger than

yes, you're right! It should be "rather than", "bigger than". Maybe it's because of the way how native users pronounce than. Some maybe misheard it as then.

Confirmed. 'Than' is correct here.
