With or without preposition?

Dear Alan,

"Stuart and I would be delighted to attend your wedding and look forward to meeting you on that day."

In the above sentence, can I take out the preposition "on" and simply use "that day" as an adverb phrase, i.e. "Stuart and I would be delighted to attend your wedding and look forward to meeting you that day"?

Thanks!

Lone
