“Without having rehearsed at all the previous week, the troupe performed the first act of the play in full costume.”

I have two questions regarding this sentence:
1) Does the prepositional phrase “in full costume” serve as an adjective prepositional phrase modifying the noun “act” or as an adverb prepositional phrase for the verb “preformed”?
2) "having rehearsed” -- is that supposed to be a present perfect tense? But I thought present perfect tense was made up of has/have + past participle...or is it actually has/have/having + past participle?

1) Adverbial, modifying 'performed'.

2) No, it is a perfective participle phrase.
