Do I have to keep saying "of" when saying "in recognition of

Post by equuszanz »

This is a section on my resume. I need help with the wording of the underlined and bolded part of the second sentence. Should I say "in recognition of these characteristics, as well as OF my academic excellence and commitment to community service", or keep it the way it is?

I am a highly conscientious, creative and self-motivated individual with an unwavering work ethic, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and proven leadership qualities. I have been awarded more than $41,000 in merit-based scholarships in recognition of these characteristics, as well as my academic excellence and commitment to community service.

Contextually fine without, but 'of' could be inserted for absolute accuracy.
